View Full Version : What is the best Defragmenter?
trying to look for a good defrag program, any suggestion would be very helpful.
thanks:top:
O&O Defrag
O&O Software - O&O Defrag 10 Pro (http://oo-software.com/home/en/products/oodefrag/)

Diskeeper is my favourite
UltimateDefrag is best, no hidden process in the background.

In 2005 'ct' (a german computer magazine) tested several defrag program and O&O Defrag (version 8) was winner... *sigh* Maybe you'll find a more up-to-date comparison of these programs.
even in newer german magazines o&o wins. therefore its one of the best defragers. i even use it and have positive opinion. the windows standard defrager is shit

what czullo said  i'm a happy ultimatedefrag 2008 user too :top:
UltimateDefrag Freeware Edition (exe), from DiskTrix - Free Downloads on ZDNet | Shareware, Trialware, Evaluation Software (http://downloads.zdnet.com/abstract.aspx?docid=357871)
Perfectdisc (certifikatet in many magazins, because have new method to defrag)
its fast, exelent and also old notbooks with littel power can use the tool without problems.
O&O defrag is good but is suspect, need to much ressource and the oodrag.exe(works in backround) is ideal for viruses to hide.

Yea i too use O&O Defrag Pro and it works the best
appreciate all the input in this matter. i would like to thank everyone for there suggestion here. now i must decide which software to use...a lot of testing to do or maybe i should just install them all..lol
or maybe i should just install them all..lol
if so, one at a time
also if you have more than one disk don't defrag them at the same time... you don't want them to be completely wiped, that can happen.
