jDownloader FTW. A must have tool. Also I find myself not able to get rid of IDM (Internet Download Manager). Just well integrated with browsers and great split/dl execution.

Is any of these close to IDM in regard to download videos from virtually anywhere? I was using IDM with free trial reset for a long time, but it no longer works for me.

I didn't try all/most of them but I doubt it. That's why I'm continuing using IDM. Just grab the latest uploaded releases from rutracker (or board4all/IPT) and use its crack !!!

HiDownload is or at least used to be very good for stream catching.
