Installation:
1. Download and install the latest non-beta Vuze release (Vuze : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (https://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)).
2. BACK UP YOUR TORRENT LIST! IT IS LIKELY YOU WILL LOSE IT!
3. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
4. Extract the files using 7-Zip (7-Zip Download (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Vuze (C:\Program Files\Vuze) and overwrite ALL files.
5. Run Vuze and Enjoy!
NOTE: For other operating systems simply replace the Azureus2.jar. For 64-bit, portable, and Vuze Plus support read the README in the appropriate package.
For macOS, Azureus2.jar is located in /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Vuze

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to the latest version (Java SE Downloads (https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/overview/index.html)).
2. You have removed the Vuze folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Vuze).
3. You have removed the Vuze folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Vuze for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vuze for Vista
4. Reinstalled Vuze using the package from Vuze : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (https://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded archives.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Vuze settings.

if you click on the vuze change log, you will see that this is 5.7.4.1, 5.7.4.0 was released in November 2016.
But I agree that this is confusing.

If your current VEM version works without problems, you don't need to change anything. All VEM changes in this version will be included in the next VEM stable release.

It's not. Take a look at the VEM changelog. Also our 5.7.4.1 (B01) is the same as the latest build of 5.7.4.0.

Maybe I made not myself clear:

I see that:

This is definitely confusing to me.

Maybe the explanation is in the change log but the thread title are what people see first.

But in the age of fuzzy logic, AI and Trump winning US election, I'll buy anything now :-)

this is my first time using Vuze Extreme Mod , when i tried to ratio fake upload without downloading ( fake seeding ) any thing in Vuze the torrent shown as ' force seeding ' but in the tracker i'm listed as a leecher with 0 download and the fake upload

Not knowing your settings makes it almost impossible to help you.

Check if your tracker has specific cheating "recommendation/settings" here (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f229/)

Due to some bugs at version 5741 (need fix by vuze team) , the release of 5740 done cause its not have those bugs .

I have a problem with this extreme mod. After a long time i wanted to get into torrents again and finally ended in this forum. I downloaded Vuze 5.7.4.0 for osx from filehorse because the link in here is broken. I installed it and everything worked.
Then got the VPEM_5740-00-v2.zip, unziped it and replaced the Azureus2.jar. Now when i start Vuze everything seems fine. But when i click on My Torrents there is just the nice frog and Loading. But nothing happens... When i'm opening the settings it says that it first has to load the kernel. (sorry if some words are wrongly translatet, using vuze in german)

My MacBook:
Mid 2009
OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

What else do you need to know?

I just checked the archive, and everything's fine. You should both try downloading it again. See that it has a length of 20253896 bytes and 4532323174c94cd8cd6394eb9e68fe1af711e558 as its SHA-1 hash.

i removed my download manager and tried with chrome, still the same problem. i even turned off my antivirus and still the same error occurs
i updated my download manager to latest version then the download stops at 98.36% so i rly dunno what's the prob ^^

For some reason I cant download mod from attached, it stops at 98.35% !!

And I cant download the Docs file at all !

Edit : download failed with FF, Chrome and IDM at the same %.
