Auf der Webseite des Software-Herstellers Adobe stehen die Anwendungen der Creative Suite 2 für Windows und Mac OS X inklusive Seriennummern kostenlos zum Download. Nutzungsvoraussetzung ist lediglich eine Adobe-ID.

Nach der Abschaltung der Aktivierungsserver muss Adobe den zahlenden Kunden einen Ersatz ohne Aktivierungspflicht geben.
Deswegen wurde der Download ebenso, wie die dazugehörigen Seriennummern veröffentlicht.

Nach Aussage eines Adobe-Mitarbeiters im Forum gilt als Nutzungsvoraussetzung immer noch der Besitz einer Lizenz.
Vor Gericht dürfte Adobe damit allerdings nicht durchkommen, weil jeder Nutzer von einer legalen Bereitstellung für alle ausgehen kann.

Also wer die historische CS2 noch haben will, kann sie sich Downloaden. - Benötigt wird nur eine Adobe-ID, die eine kurze Registrierung erfordert.

Update: Following a frenzy of Internet activity — and some confusion — it appears that Adobe isn’t giving away free copies of Adobe CS2.



You are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product!
If you have a digital creative streak but your budget doesn’t extend far enough to buy Adobe’s Creative Suite applications, this is for you. Adobe have made available an array of applications from its Creative Suite 2 bundle — for free.
Along with the ever-popular Photoshop CS2 are applications such as Premiere Pro CS2, InDesign CS2, and Illustrator CS2. If you want the whole bundle, the entire Creative Suite 2 is also available for download.
CS2 is not new by any standards — it was first released in April 2005 — but it’s still a fantastic offer and capable of some serious work. And when the cost is just the time it takes to download it, it’s a real bargain.

You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. Das ist der Unterschied zwischen Defacto und Dejure.

Mit einer Adobe-ID kann man die Creative Suite 2 herunterladen.
Keys gibt es ebenso.

Dass Adobe für die Nutzung noch eine (gekaufte) Lizenz haben will, ist möglicherweise juristisch, aber nicht technisch von Belang.
