2008-02-02 - uTorrent versions below 1.7.7 and uTorrent 1.8 alpha build 8205 are now banned

This is because of another remotely exploitable crashbug that was discovered (and it does crash 1.6 versions as well, not just 1.7 like the previous exploit, even with encrypted connections)

CZone bans utorrent 1.77 now. Here is the message about this...


DO not use utorrent 1.7.7 Your account might be disabled for fake reasons. Use only utorrent 1.7.6 or utorrent 1.6.1. Other accepted clients: Azureus.

Do not use BitTornado or other shitty clients. If your account will be disabled because your client sent wrong information to our server, no one will help you.

Please be sure to use the recommended versions of utorrent (1.7.6 or 1.6.1).

Moreover, do not request invites. No invites are given, no mather the class, ratio, etc. ..

Can anybody tell me if there is a bug free utorrent version out there? :wink:

oh i see even if 1.7.8 is released we cannot use it , its better use Azureus:smile: but some ban the Azureus so uTorrent can be used :smile:

Answer : I think uTorrent 1.6.1 was bug free and popular but now its banned on most sites for some reason but even uTorrent updates , the torrent sites will say this version exploits etc etc .. So better i will use Azureus if they ban uTorrent :smile:.

On SCT utorrent 1.6.1,1.75, 1.76 , 1.77 and 1.8( 8205 ) are all banned
so now that every utorrent version is banned there---What are we supposed to use beside azureus...i think they did that so we cant use any modified utorrent client ..:shockkk!:

ah thats bad news now i cant even use uTorrent 1.7.7 :frown:


So now all version of uTorrent is banned , now only option we have is to use Azureus .... we have a another client same as uTorrent called Halite but its in development stages :cool2:
