World cup is fast approaching and was just wondering if anyone knows where you can watch the world cup online, preferably in High Quality (i.e. not on justin.tv)? Any suggestions?

I think the BBC are streaming it online, but you have to be inside the UK, so anyone on holidays out of the country is all out of luck :(

Opps, posted in wrong forum, could mods move to Sports and fitness please, thanks.

I will watch it in HD quality on my computer using a skystar satellite card , decrypting the Al Jazeera sport channels which have the exclusive rights to air the world cup in the middle east using newcamd 5.25 server , maybe you can find something similar in Europe:wink:

By the way, If you want to watch it on BBC you can use a British proxy to access the web site i used to do that to access BBC 4 online streaming .

Another way is online streaming specialized websites and they are all over the internet. You can google it.

If you find a UK proxy you may be able to watch it from there, but don't get your hopes of finding a fast and non-blocked one up...

I have used sopcast, tv ant, etc... to watch premiership matches, but I always find the quality awful. The odd time you find an ok quality the commentary is in Spanish/Arbic/etc...

Think I might look into the British proxy idea, would be worth it for a month any way!:) Any one have any recommendations for a particular proxy provider?

Cheers:)

Could be possible that he's living in a country where soccer is not that popular (like in the United States) and he doesn't want to be known as the guy who loves soccer.

Football may or may not be popular there , but the shocking thing is they are 14th in the world FIFA rankings :shockkk!:

For those who live in England, and are willing to shell out a little bit of cash, there's nowhere better than watching in 3D in the cinema.
