Hex Editor used in this Tutorial: HxD (http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/)


First you need to open the RAM.

Then select the correct process, in this case it's utorrent.exe.

Then you search (Ctrl + F) for the needed keywords, e.g. peer_id as a Text-string.

On the left side there is the hex view, the right side is formatted with ASCII whereof you can copy the needed part. :wink2:


Notes:

Vuze for example uses a different peer_id for each torrent and also generates a new whenever you restart the torrent, so you can just pick any of them.
But normally you don't need to do this emulating Vuze.
