TBH it wasn't my find, I read about it in the comments of FSF. :tongue:
But it's not very hard to find security holes like that, you don't need to be a pro for this, and by the way this not the only tracker having problems with the nasty directory listing.

And just as an hint for future tracker staff who doesn't know how to handle .htaccess files, a simple and empty index.html in the directory does the job as well. :wink2:

EDIT: I went to the link to have a look. It says that if you want to sign up, go to the IRC. OK. That's fine. But a site with about 300 torrent's (according to this thread's review)....IDK...on a personal note, I don't think taht I'd be interested.

It's not a bad review. Just not a site taht I'd join at the moment, though.

You mean the .torrent files in the /torrents directory? That's a security hole, you're supposed to browse them via the frontend, but they forgot to secure that folder. :tongue:

I know. I went to that same link and tried downloading one of the torrents. Nothing but a bunch of .rar files of which one knows nothing of it's contents.

Like I mentioned. I guess one just needs to take a guess or a chance.

This is basically an open tracker, you know...you can look at it that way, I guess. LOL.

Many of them are non-scene though which they actually forbid in their upload rules... interesting :klatsch_3:
