I download 4-5 GB daily and i hardly upload 100 MB :baeh:

Depends on the day.If nothing cool is released I don't download a thing.The greatest amount I downloaded in one day was 80 GB.
Some days i download from 5 to 10 Gb and I upload 100 - 200 Mb :)
If I get a rare file, well, I share it with the normal uTorrent client.

I do about maybe 1gb a day but most days zero because lately there is nothing good. I do seed back to 100% though...which gives me a huge boost in ratio.

wow :eek: thats awful speed, how can you live with that? but its better than capped internet anyway...
i have capped 8MB Internet connection
so i can only download 20GB every month :icon_angry[1]:...
Some days nothing, but at least 10 GB in a week depends on my mood and scene releases :tongue:

Same as SBfreak here. If there's a good movie/album/etc. out, I download it, else I don't leech anything. So anywhere from 0 to 2GB a day :tongue:
Same here around 1 - 2 GB/day download but I upload just as much unless I get one of the scene releases from HDbits then it goes up to 8 - 12 GB. My ISP has a monthly cap like 300GB.
Lately I am having problems with storage. I have like 4 ext. drives that are 1TB to 1.5TB and all full my imac with 500 GB has like 5 Gigs free. It is mostly HD movies and they eat up a lot of space. I can't wait until the BluRay burners are more affordable so I can burn 25GB or 50GB on a single disk that should be great.

Many days I don't download anything, but I tend to do my weekly "torrent shopping" all at once. I like certainly TV shows, grab a movie or 2, and a few albums every week. I would say 0-4 GB a day or 12 GB a week on average.

for me in my country the internet is very limited i am allowed to download 7 giga\month with my normal dw speed which is 50-60 kbs
and after that like nowadays my dw speed is 10-15 but i keep downloading i use about 15 giga\month
and i upload 2-3 mbs max in the month lol (thx to sbi)

I have total 423 Burn DVD:top:
10-20Gb a day all hd normally seeding back about a third of that but constantly so tend to keep my ratios in check.

more HDs means more GIGs downloaded and so i guess probably around 5 or 6 gigs daily, that is depending on what movies come out. But they dont last long on pc hehe...
Avarange 10gb/day not that mutch maybe less on summers since nothing comes out :/

It depends on the content. If there's something interesting on the net, I don't hesitate to max out my connection the whole day (~12gb). :wink:
But for some time now, I only download around 100-200mb because of a lack of interesting stuff.

Also i prefer to download HD content... Higher quallity, bigger files, longer download: its harder to make big collection of HD movies then xvid so i basically try to watch them first.

Upload on Average - 1.5 gbs :D If I leave it running over night (and it doesn't get turned off >_>) then I can pull in about 3 gigs in 24 hours.

Same here. I probably have a backlog of 15+ movies that I've downloaded but haven't watched. I wonder if there is such a thing as 'Compulsive Downloading Disorder' :shockkk!:

Actually, I change what I said about my upload... I let it run overnight and came back to it this "morning-afternoon" and had 9 gb uploaded total. I guess my estimates were off :P

My upload speed is ~120kb/s and speedtest.net says its about 0.99 mbps. I'm using CommunistCast (Comcast) but I manage to get up to 400 kb/s upload at the beginning of online uploads with powerboost...
Comcast!? And your uploads don't get reset after they puff up? You're lucky, lol
I only have 32kB/s upload...
My upload speeds start out at 400 kb/s for maybe ~10 seconds but then drift back down to 120 kb/s... Surprisingly though, we're only on the 6 mbps down and like 1 mbps up plan and somehow we still manage to get 8 mbps down :klatsch_3:
Heh, yes, Comcast and their famous shaping. (uTP could take care of this if it isn't due to server load :tongue:)
At least you're not sandvined. The higher speeds are probably because of connecting to peers from the same provider.

uTP is the UDP torrenting protocol. Since UDP is connectionless and unreliable, they can't shape nor sandvine it. All uTorrent versions from 1.8 onwards can "understand" it, and 1.9 uses it by default. <- This is why I use my 1.9 Emu 1.8.2 uTorrent mod^^

For me, seeing speeds raise from 30 to 350 kB/s was worth it. If you want to give it a spin, use a separate config (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f59/how-use-two-more-different-utorrent-versions-same-time-4050/) for a tracker like TL.

I remember when one of our ISPs wanted to introduce a 4GB transfer limit. Let's just say it didn't prosper. They're already shaping P2P, what else do they want?

Heh, I kind of know how you feel. In the past I downloaded a lot, I even left my PC turned on leeching overnight - but now I don't do that anymore. Must have something to do with turning to movies and music instead of warez and games, because my PC can't handle new ones anymore.
LOLz I used to download a lot more! I eventually realized I had so much stuff I would never use or have time to enjoy and that I was wasting time downloading and sorting it. Also, hard drive space has become more precious to me.
Yesterday I downloaded 50Gb ...so it depends on what I find and how many gigs are available on my hdd :)

My ISP have ridiculously poor plans where I live and for a while their system was flawed and allowed unlimited downloading at the end of your billing period. Now that this glitch has been fixed it has left me with little torrenting and a search towards a new provider.
Perhaps you should look at upgrading your PC, you always get a feeling that users on various forums are quite the PC builders and maintainers.

In all honesty, if I was to download as much as even 1 GB per day, which is the minimum that you guys obviously DL, I don't know if I'd have the time to even eat, let alone go to the can.
I mean, there are occasions that I download maybe 4 or 5 GB, but not on a daily basis.

Maybe a couple of minutes everyday to get the links, then let the connection do the rest :biggrin:
And especially if your connection is slow (like me), you better off get much life while waiting the downloads done :rolling_eyes:
I got U/D 96kbps/384kbps ADSL conn, so I get about 2-3GB/day and with my setting of 1 KB/s upload, I give only about 50-90 MB/day :baeh:
... and for that I paid about $20/month :baeh: expensive huh ... :eek13:

Mine fortunately doesn't. I remember a local DSL provider once wanted to implement a 4GB/mo. policy... let's just say it didn't receive a warm welcome, so they had to forget about it.
