That has happened to me sometimes. It could be:

- The download can get corrupted along the way (ftp errors alike), downloading again should fix it.
- Uploader's mistake for uploading corrupt files
- When you are downloading and in the middle of operation all files (or some) get reported (this is what I hate the most :baeh:)

solution: use link checkers (like RSD) and download only scene rar files and if some are damaged you have a good chance to find them somewhere else and complete the download - this trick helped me a few times :biggrin:

a humane way would be to punish them for their shameful actions (with imprisonment being the harshest punishment) and give them a chance to repent not only by their mere admission but by their future actions aimed to directly or indirectly 'repair' the damage done by them), therefore i don't support barbaric methods of retribution (with some exceptions of course)

the problem is society's management/government model that lacks control over positions & areas (especially the 'highest' ones) which are to some extent causing other human being's suffering...the other obvious reason would be human nature with its negative elements (naturally inherent to any human being)

I get angry when I invite people who I think are honest, but who turn out to be liars who have been banned from the site 7 times before. For some reason, these people are dumb enough to believe that trackers won't realise they've signed up again, despite the fact that they are IP banned.

I also get angry when tracker staff act like they are God's henchmen (WHAT.CD I'm looking at you here.) Banning me from the IRC channel when I'm trying to talk to you in a civilized manner about somebody I've invited is both childish and insolent.
