I prefer uTorrent. I have been using it for many years due to it's simplicity and efficiency. But now I also use Vuze because of the mod and spoofing options. I still prefer uTorrent, but Vuze is now a necessity as well.

I've pretty much always used uTorrent; it's low memory footprint and low resource use makes it perfect for my 8 year old CPUd computer, but ofcourse still works wonderfully on my Quad-Core.

On my Ubuntu laptop I use KTorrent; Deluge was way to simplified for my liking, bordering on Mac software simple - too little features. KTorrent was a good alternative, with a nice interface, lots of features and support for plugins and scripts.

But ofcourse I also use Azureus for cheating. The fact it was open source meant it was perfect for modding, and now we can rejoice from their hard work. I did use it way back in 2005, an unmodded version, when I first made the transition from Limewire to BitTorrent protocol, but found it was very resource hungry. Taking minutes just to load Azureus I switched to uTorrent, but things seem to have changed in that I installed the modded version on my 8 year old CPUd computer last year, it loads much faster.

µTorrent here, just because it's light weight and easy to use. No more and no less than I need. Perfectly fits all of my desires for a torrent client =)

Better uTP support - essential for me, since my ISP shapes me.

A month has passed since the last stable 1.8.2 build was released. It's not that much, but if compared when BT Inc. released alphas twice a day...

+1, its exactly what I've been doing. But chronologically speaking, I started p2p with napster, then e-donkey, then e-mule, shareaza, then Bittorrenting with that first ever official client that looked like an internet explorer downloading windows. Then Azureus 2.x (because of hype) then uTorrent 1.6 for long years (since 2005 I think). Only since I joined sb-i, I started using Vuze xtreme too.

Unless you're spoofing the same uTorrent version you use to download on the Extreme Mod, be careful with that, they could ask you why you alternate clients.

I use utorrent mostly due to its lightweight. I use Deluge before as well. Personally I prefer utorrent due to simply there are *cough* hacks *cough* around for it actually ;)

I like to try them all but UT is the most simple to use and I still use that sometimes. Vuze is in a class of its own for all the stuff you can do so that would be useful for people who know what settings to use or try out.

I would suggest Vuze. It is the bestest :top:
