I felt inspired by our friend kazuya in his late review (http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?threadid=12272) and decided to do my review on this ratio-free tracker.

As you can see the site has an appearance and layout which resembles funfile. It's because PTM was formed right after some key members bailed from funfile.

PTM is a great site with good pre-times and good content. All popular stuff like movies, series episodes games and so on are uploaded. They have a premium torrent section which can give a boost on your uploaded amount. Just follow their rules and you won't get in trouble, i.e. seed everything for at least 60h (don't need to be contiguos) or reach 0.75 ratio on individual torrents.

I never cheated there, but heard reports of RatioMaster and mRatio working all right with 100-200 kb/s on well leeched torrents.

Hope you like this review and sorry for the big screens, I think it's because of my desktop resolution.

please use your sbi picture album to upload important pictures like for reviews on our server else the thread could end to be useless after the pictures are deleted from imageshack

Thanks anon :top:

@hitman: I was about to do this for my new review yesterday, but gave up when I saw the picture max resolution limit, so I didn't even try  As some pages like the forums one was contiguos and had a height bigger then the 1024 limit. But anyway now I see anon has resized them for me

The next reviews I will resize accordingly and upload on my albuns.

On another note, I have my imageshack account to default upload pictures as private, and so far only one picture has been deleted, it was the one from my mini review on TPS, I guess the f*ck*rs asked imgshack to delete it.

@anon: lol, I thought you were going to put them in my albuns, but it's ok this way. Cheers.

The forum software resizes them automatically

You can still split long pics in two, for example, to prevent them from being resized.

About Imageshack, I think that's where kazuya once stored the Tophos review pics, and they "somehow" got deleted, so better don't take the risk.

Thanks, I didn't know the forum could auto-resize bigger pics. I thought it would just forbid me to upload them.

And yes, you are right. I will make albuns later for my other reviews, i.e. ntorrents, and others.

Cheating at 100-200kB/s rates works fine - flashing doesn't.

Their speeds were bad when they were just starting, but they have improved.

they've clearly outranked their mother tracker, funfile

no pms begging for donations, enough peers/leechers to pick torrents to cheat on, nice ppre times, definitely one of the better trackers ou there

Nice tracker, ever been l33t before but somehow they become no more l33t nowadays because the wiseness of their own staff not like another tracker (FTN, HDB, etc) that just still only giving invite to VIP user and their 'VIP' user sold their invites as high as possible :ras:

People that look for places like GFT and FTN just because they're ratio free should turn to look for Pretome. Fact.

fakeking
12.07.10, 05:48
But they want to join those places to become l33t and arse-kissing and looking for "community" :naughty:

And seriously how often those people will devote their online time to those "community" and what about their downloaded stuff?

Gah, let's just go usual and see the many example of the forum in un"l33t" trackers.

Trackers such as GFT have excellent trading value for some due to their rarity. If everyone was given an invite, for example, no one would bother to join, except to trade the account away once they close. It happened with BCG when almost no one had a referral, TheVault when their invite system was closed due to selling, and so on.

And seriously how often those people will devote their online time to those "community" and what about their downloaded stuff?

About the "community"... let's take FTN, for example... I'm not a member (and I doubt I'll ever be), but I've seen the community excuse used countless of times in trades and requests, at the same time I keep on hearing from respected members here and elsewhere that it's the same as every other 0-Day tracker, with worse retention due to the ratio-free scheme, and that the famous community it's supposed to have mostly spams in forum games.

I don't get the whole rarity/l33tness thing, it boggles my mind.

But TBZ tracker have changed their system and they're unl33t these days, and i rarely seen there are bad member or even many new member joined. So key to prevent trading and invite selling is open reg but with dupe detection

I don't get it too because we can't spend whole of our online time in that particular tracker unless you have nothing to do aka no-life people

On-topic : I love PTM

It appears you need to enter your username and/or a PIN in the search box to be able to log in. Go to their IRC channel if you're still having problems.

I'm sure that as I said before, you can easily get your PIN via IRC... e-mails aren't guaranteed to arrive, and PTM's staff should be aware of this.

Mihai

You must also check the in spam in your mail, maybe it's there. If not then jin the irc channel.I got the same problem too and resolved it fast and easy.
