Cheat note: As you can see there is only a small amount of seeders and leechers; nonetheless it's very easy to cheat there. Ratiomaster, Shu Mod, mratio- They all work. Use decent speeds though.

All in all MusicVids is the best tracker for musicvideos. If you're interested in this material, you'll definitely have to give it a try.
There are tons of musicvideos, concerts, DVDs available. Formats are often avi or vob.
Speeds are ok for newer torrents, older ones will take a bit to be finished.
The member though are friendly, reseed requests or general requests possible.
If you're looking for a community based tracker you're wrong though. The forums at MV aren't very active nor attractive.

Yes, they have hip hop videos on there. 1200+ listed in both "R&B" and "Rap". And yes they are current. A lot of thems arre in vob format though. So they are 150-300 megs for a single video or even more. You have to convert them to the format of your choice. So unless your hardcore about music videos just find one of the places online to get them.
And yeah. Invites are scarce. There's an invite thread created by one of the mods up on What.cd check it out. They have stupid requirements though.

In this period Music-Vids is doin' much changes..... however i like em all. Then i LOVE Music-Vids, for me one of the best trackers ever made, really awesome for who love music videos, it has all pratically :)

Because this is a only one music video tracker, so there is no any competitor of MV. btw I cheated there with WM + RM at 5mbps at old packs. Works like charm.

They've, but you've to fulfill special reqs, like showing your Music-Collection (for example a real photo of your own musicvideo-collection etc.)
So, if you're PU, you're not automatically applicable for a M-V-Invite.

True. But all you've really got to do is relabel a few files to song titles and take a screenshot. It doesn't even have to be a whole folders worth, it just has to be the visible files. Twenty or so renames out of a folder of a potential hundred or so files. If for whatever reason they ask for proof that you have one particular video, download it off youtube real quick.
They expect you to be a fan of music videos, which is why they have this requirement. I think it's a rather silly requirement, but M-V invites are rare. If someone isn't willing to go to the trouble of at least faking a collection, I'm doubting they "need" M-V as much as they say they do.

In my case, the first part wouldn't be a problem. I have a very large music collection, both as MP3 files and CDs, and if they ask me for a specific video, I can quickly get it from YouTube as you mentioned. The only problem here is that I'm not interested in music videos :lol:
Also, to add to tokiodrift1's other post, RevTT also offers such content. It's one of the few general trackers I've spotted that do so.

If I remember correctly, RevTT forbids offering invites to any sites.
I think SCC MVIDS pack are better than Music-vids content. and if u wanna download some true HD songs bit hdtv is also offer some good stuff for music videos. Imo, Music vids is lame tracker specially me for hard to cheat there..because it has crappy peerlist in every torrent !

peerlist normally is an advantage because you can see what's going on there. and don't think that on sites where there's no peerlist for the users the staff wouldn't have one :P

By any means, never let someone make you feel bad because they have a symbol in front of their online nick.
But yes, do try it - if it's inactivity, they'll probably be kind enough to put you back on track.
The MV staff in general are elitist snobs, in my opinion. I've had experiences with them as a normal, non-cheating user that are enough to make me avoid trusting them for anything except disappointment.

I guess torrent life on that site is small as the userbase itself. If you're on 0day tracker like for example SCC you could auto download their MVID section and it's freeleech.

yep but be carefull not to risk your BTN account.

* A good amount of download/upload activity (If it looks like you hardly use this site, don't expect an invite. We want people who will use it, not collect it)

Back in the day I also had some problems like that with them. I'm guessing they haven't fixed it yet. Just keep trying.

Their login form and fake HTTP error pages are very successful at trolling :happy:
I cant understand that. Why cant they just write that youre banned like normal people.
It's so weird because I had this problem every month at least once and my account was still working the next day.
Well, mine is still doesnt working. I guess Im banned.

It's pretty hard to find its invite or even invite thread these days. I wonder if there is any rare place to find scene mvid releases somewhere else, especially AURORA's old DVD releases. SceneHD doesn't have them. I also wonder M-V's internal releases but no luck I guess unless find a way to get in and see for myself. I feel like don't have any better choice these days other than paying couples of decent Usenet indexers and dive into Usenet & scene releases. P2Ping is good but you're hitting the limits of this world when you start to go deeper and more niche stuff.
