Moved.

I'm downloading a torrent from TPB right now and have no problems. Perhaps installing and using the mlDHT plugin instead of Azureus' DDB will help you find more sources.

Would you mind tell me where can I find it?

anon

You can install it through Plugins -> Installation Wizard -> By list from SF.net.

Does mlDHT mean Mainline DHT?

anon
04.04.09, 21:47
That's right. Mainline = the official BitTorrent client, now a rebranded version of uTorrent.

Azureus' DDB can only contact other Azureus users.

yoco
04.04.09, 21:49
OK, I downloaded and installed. Do I need to configure anything new now?

anon
04.04.09, 21:53
You'll see the new "Mainline DHT" section under Tools -> Options -> Plugins; you may want to untick "auto open view" so that the mlDHT tab isn't opened every time your start Azureus. The other settings should be fine by default.

It'll take a while for it to bootstrap, but once you see something like "mlDHT: 6.021.148" in the status bar, you'll know it's working. The amount of sources for your TPB torrent should now increase.

yoco
04.04.09, 21:56
Right now it's "Initializing". Do I need to disable DDB?

anon
04.04.09, 21:57
If you keep it enabled, you may find even more sources, but your overhead will increase. I personally have it disabled since one DHT is enough.

yoco

So, I'm just gonna leave it for now and see if it will download until tommorow.

anon
04.04.09, 22:01
Yes, that'd be the best. mlDHT should find nodes in a few minutes...

yoco

So, not a single kb was downloaded :mad2:
Could be something wrong with my Vuze Extreme mod? I tried with Utorrent and it start downloading instantly.

Are you using uT spoof?
Encryption enabled?

yoco
05.04.09, 11:11
Spoofing off!
Where can I find this Encryption?

shoulder
05.04.09, 11:21
It's located under Connection --> Transport Encryption.

But as long as you don't spoof a client which is supposed to have the new lte the encryption shouldn't be a problem.

yoco
05.04.09, 11:24
So since I don't spoof I don't need this Encryption?

shoulder
05.04.09, 11:30
No, spoof and encryption aren't related to eacht other directly.

It's just if you're spoofing for example uT 1.8.1 and you have encryption enabled, it can decrease your speeds because of the different lte versions Azureus and uT (1.8+) are using.

What port should I use? Right now I have 42951.

anon
07.04.09, 16:39
Whether you mean Azureus' normal listen post or mlDHT's, anything in the 49152-65535 range should do.

yoco
07.04.09, 18:23
So is this suppose to be normal?
Testing port 42951 ...
Unable to test: Invalid port given, or test service failed.
Another application may already be using this port..
(Error: Connection refused: connect).

anon
07.04.09, 19:57
No. Is that when doing the NAT test?

Choose another port and make sure it's open in your router/firewall.

yoco
07.04.09, 20:28
It doesn't change. I don't even have firewall :confused2:

anon
07.04.09, 20:30
Vuze's NAT test is a bit shaky... try using the Open Port Check Tool (http://www.canyouseeme.org/) instead.

yoco
07.04.09, 20:34
Your ISP is not blocking port 42951

But when I put port 42952 it's

Error Reason: Connection refused

anon
07.04.09, 20:36
But when I put port 42952 it's

Which app is using it?

yoco
07.04.09, 20:38
It doesn't say!

kazuya
07.04.09, 21:13
lol try some other port for example 54000.Do you have opened ports in router?

yoco
07.04.09, 21:44
Doesn't work on any port. I don't have router.
But when I download from a private tracker download is as same.

anon
07.04.09, 21:51
Which port are you trying to check for connectivity in the first place? Azureus' or mlDHT's?

Anyway, if the NAT led in the status bar is green (I assume so it is since you don't have a router or firewall), you shouldn't worry about connectability.

here i have my setting that work with no prob, take a look and see if you did something wrong

also post how are you connected to internet(modem version,router,etc..) and probably bye default windows firewall is on so check that and also antivirus software

yoco
08.04.09, 16:54
lol, I looked your settings, tweaked a bit and now it seems to be working

Glad that i helped you buddy:wink2:

Hey, this isn't TBP related but since I changed a few settings I can't get connection withmore than one torrent on tvtorrent.com tracker. Like right now I'm downloading 4 torrents, but I'm only downloading one. All others are red.

kazuya

Tools->options->queue-max simultaneous downloads and max active torrents=set higher number
i have 2 and 3
or is this only on tv.torrents?

yoco
10.04.09, 13:17
I think it's only on tvtorrents, maybe they have server problems. I just thought it was strange that when I open first torrent it always connected, but every other need really long time.

mlDHT uses 25-30% of CPU while i run with latest 4.2.0.2 and extreme shu mod...

i use vista x64

and i mailed author of plugin for this situation
he didnt reply...

anon
21.04.09, 19:21
How many running torrents do you have?

silencer1980
21.04.09, 22:14
i have 8 torrents ...

i think mlDHT plugin needs an update.

anon
21.04.09, 22:14
8 torrents should be OK... I don't have such a resource usage here. Maybe mlDHT doesn't work correctly on 64-bit processors and would indeed need an update. :frown:

Have you tried disabling your firewall (if any)?

silencer1980
21.04.09, 22:20
i fully know how to do it right dude.
firewalls,ports etc.

i just need to know that
is there a really needing of mlDHT with latest VUZE...

thats the problem

:D

OK.

Well, mlDHT will help you find more sources on public torrents, but it's not essential. And if you only download from private trackers, it's even useless.
