Send it to MS. They will do a Reflow on the Mainboard.
The best about sending it in: Even if your box is flashed they will repair it, as long as your box has still the security label inside.
If you dont have a label, you can get one from the 'usual places'.
MS will send you the box back and it will still play all your stuff.

True, but the quality of the boxes seems to be randomly wide-spread from low to high Manufacturing-Quality.

...while PS3 proves to be money worth...

Even the PS3 had/have problems with their BD-Drive and FW-Updates.

...and about the media cost.. bluray discs will be the most common media in the next few years...

Did the comparison compare the same graphic? You need to go to more than one comparison but then in the end its your money.

If it was on two different TVs then a proper comparison is even harder to make. The graphic needs to be made on the same TV, split screen.

If u go to ur tv/hifi retailer they wll have a wall of tv's some will be the same but even if te same they might look diferent due t different tuning

dude long story short it was same everything in the same second of game and the PS3 looked better.
look from 1:30 onwards. it looks sharper and better on PS3

i got the 360, the 360 was sooooooo ahead at the beginning, but ps3 is gettin better n better.

in 09 there were definately better ps3 games than 360. but the 360 has still some top exclusives and the point that you can play backups and JTAG with older boxes, makes the box better .

That's tough to say. I've always liked Microsoft consoles but they are far more controlling than PlayStation. I just wish they would release more popular titles.
