Logged into TL today to find my account banned. I joined the IRC channel and asked what reason my account was banned but I am not going any response from the team. Just a will check and get back to you response. They probably are pissed that I invited people who were cheating for almost 5 + years now. The best part is they gave me no warning, no indication or notice whatsoever about why my account is banned.

You can (or at least were historically able to) e-mail support AT torrentleech DOT org to get help with a disabled account. Make sure to mention your username.
This. Just one of those should be enough to get by. TL staff said on Reddit that the "next open signup might be a long time coming", but there's bound to be at least one this year.

Will look into getting an account for one of these once I come over some open signups on Opentrackers.org.
Will try and reach them via their email support address once I find which email address I used to register on TL.
Have already kept a new browser, email address, and IP ready to sign up. Just waiting for the next open signup.
No I am not on them. The only private tracker I had an account on was Torrentleech which is close to about 6+ years. I mainly download from public trackers. I would resort to hunting for content on private trackers when there are no seeders on public trackers. I had a RuTracker account but I stopped using it long time ago since many movie/tv content from it was dubbed in Russian and I never knew how to change the audio file back then.
In all fairness, if you just want the latest stuff, public trackers will serve well as long as you learn to avoid "FIFA 2034+crack (NO VIRUS).zip.exe" and copyright agencies (if applicable). The days of downloading at 10 KB/s are long gone, connection speeds have improved globally in both directions. Organization and retention is still sucky, though, so even then it's nice to be able to juggle with a few private sites.
Another one very much worth having in your toolkit: Zamunda (.net, alternate domain at .ch).

Learned this the hard way after downloading a torrent for a much desired scraping tool named Scrapebox off the DHT network. I think I accidently downloaded a ransomware which encrypted all my files and continued to encrypt anything connected to my PC even my external hard drive. I had to change the HDD to get rid of it.
Never dealt with them till this day. I think my country is a bit laxed with copyright content download. They do block public trackers but a VPN or Tor works around it. ISPs here don't care what you download as long as you're doing it within your monthly/yearly pack.
It is nice to have them but difficult to maintain multiple private tracker accounts. I hardly get the time to visit the trackers let alone download for them.
Thanks for this gem. Will have a look into what they offer.

Running warez from public torrents without using a VMor setting your system locale to Russiais just asking for trouble...
Inactivity sucks, although at least most trackers keep their threshold higher than the 42 days that were typical in the past. See http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=35459 for some ideas.I hardly get the time to visit the trackers let alone download for them.
