    Torrent downloading services

    https://www.sonicseedbox.com/
    https://www.loadbt.com/
    https://www.seedr.cc/
    https://www.torrentsafe.com/
    https://filestream.me/

Add a torrent to these, and they'll grab it for you and make it available as a direct download. Make sure to check their FAQ to know if private trackers are allowed, how much they seed back, and other potential limitations. If you search for "Torrent to Direct Link - Free Seedbox", you'll find a post with referral links that give you a little extra storage space.

I don't even use these, but you never know. With some clever thinking, it may even be possible to use them to upload torrents instead.

    1. Create the torrent with your private tracker's announce URL, as if you were ready to post it there, but don't do that yet.
    2. Load the torrent in SonicSeedBox. Naturally, the tracker will give an error message like "unregistered torrent" or similar.
    3. Load the torrent in your computer, remove the announce URL, then start it.
    4. Manually add the IP and port of the seedbox as a peer.
    5. Wait until both connect and the files are copied to the box.
    6. Stop the torrent on both, then readd the announce URL you removed before.
    7. Finally upload the torrent to the tracker, then restart it on both clients.

(...) The question is, how do you know SonicSeedBox's IP and port in advance? There are some "BT IP checker" services out there, but they only show you the former. If these guys use ruTorrent, I'm sure you can get or at least see the listen port on the interface... otherwise, set up a dummy tracker to log it or do an Nmap service scan on the IP... I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader
Mind you, I haven't tried this, or even uploaded anything to a private tracker in a long time.

http://www.urlhash.com/ - but they insist that today's quota (presumably theirs as I've never used them before) has been reached.
    https://github.com/AnimMouse/torrent-webseed-creator - GitHub account required.
    https://github.com/AnimMouse/torrent...-creator-colab - Google account required.
http://burnbit.com/ - no longer operational and only mentioned for reference.

Hope it helps. "Link to torrent" is actually easier to code than "torrent to link", but there's far less demand for it.

That question came out of left field, but anyway. Heroku's modus operandi and limitations are ill-suited to fake seeding, which by definition requires uninterrupted and arbitrarily long runtimes... 30s execution timeout, 30m inactivity timeout and 550h per month falling pretty short of "uninterrupted and arbitrarily long". It could still be possible with several workarounds, but wouldn't scale well or generally be worth it. And while there may also be other free services more (ab)usable for this task, they'd all share a common flaw: no tracker will believe you're hosting a seedbox on them, especially considering many of their IPs are on the level 1 blocklist.

If you need unattended, long-term fake seeding and somehow none of the programs we offer here are an option, then I suggest the following. Get a Raspberry Pi or OpenWrt-supported router that has a USB port. Grab the rTorrent or Transmission sources, make some small changes so that uploaded, downloaded, left and corrupt are always 0 and event=completed is never sent, cross-compile for your platform. Install and run the modded client on your device of choice, make sure to forward its ports, add torrents with all files deselected. You can then basically forget it's there - physical size, power consumption and bandwidth usage are minimal - while it continues to "seed" everything, night and day, rain or shine.

    Spoiler :

Yes, that's a travel router that was transformed into an Internet radio and is powered from a regular USB port. OpenWrt makes such things possible.
