They have a forum called "Elite Zone" and inside of it "Invite Zone" just for VIP/Elite members and up where people offer invites and you can also request invites to different trackers. You need to have a minimum of 20 rep points to request an invite to a tracker.

This is news to me, thanks. You can get VIP status without donating by "buying" it with FLcoins, but it takes almost a year of seeding to obtain the necessary amount. The invite offers don't seem mind-blowing in any case...

In the past, taking regular users' invites had the advantage of not "linking" the account you requested with and the one you wanted to obtain (which 4chan would call "not being /mark/ed"). And of course, not all trackers recruit, while in theory any of them can be available through regular giveaways.

However, these days almost all trackers are connected and staff talk to everyone, which negates the former advantage unless you take additional security measures. And if you aren't into anything naughty, a.k.a. being /pure/, recruitment is preferable since there are zero chances you'll ever be affected by an invite tree ban.
