Hammer on the video card ? gasoline and match ? or is a fix

ok ...1 month ago after starting the pc in the morning - i get this type of shitty display

    http://combatace.com/uploads/monthly_09_2010/post-52148-059185200%201284725312.jpg

gived me NVIDIA Graphic Card disabled - error Code 43 in windows at first - tought it was the drivers - reinstalled clean the windows - after that, same shitty display - in windows -no errors - just that nvidia card is not recognized anymore and resolution is 640 480 or some shit like that

lucky me i had two cards : a 460 GTX (that works great - for playing mario) and the GTX 580 that causing me display problems

my question is ? the GTX 580 is really burned that gives shitty display ? i don't have what to do with her anymore ? or is a fix or something ? because it bugs me out if it was/is burned - how the fuck it starts but with bad display

I'd check it in another PC before determining.
if it is ruined - probably some bad capacitors.. they're always the culprit

Believe it or not, this problem can often be solved by heating your card at 200°C in the oven for several minutes.

Of course, do attempt to exhaust all other possibilities first.

I have this problem exactly 2 days ago. I got my card out and alone for now and too afraid of the heating solution. Someone told me i have to get rid of the hdmi cable and use dvi one and the problem will be solved. Will try the cables solution soon and let you know.
