Fedora, ever the forerunner to using the latest kerneles, softwares, patches, etc... is going to release it's Alpha for Fedora 23 pretty much right away.
Cinnamon is already in the repos, but what they're talking about is making it approved as an official spin.As you may know, Fedora 23 Alpha 1 is scheduled for release on August 11, while the stable version is expected to come on October 27, but will most likely be delayed.
Fedora 23 Alpha has reached feature freeze, meaning that new packages won’t be adopted anymore, the developers focusing on squashing bugs right now. Also worth mentioning, the Bodhi activation point is in effect.
Along with GNOME, MATE, KDE, XFCE, Sugar and LXDE, starting with Fedora 23, a new Cinnamon spin will be released.
