For the last couple of years Firefox was great in many aspects, then they started releasing new versions every month, I think from that point Firefox team started sending some seriously buggy versions, I had issues with antivirus until I switched to a different brand, this is good on the other hand, Firefox has more updates for its security problems, in IE you have to wait M$ to decide to update IE and they sure take their time.
IE9 is faster than before, a lot faster, but full of hidden secrets since the day it was born, I don't trust this browser, when I clean your history or cash, I never feel secure.
From compatibility point of view, IE = FF in my experience, I mean 2 years ago you had sites not working with FF but working with IE, now you have sites wanting FF.
I like FF for its addons and advanced options, I wish IE had the same addons.
I use both IE and FF.
Other browsers, I once used Chrome and it used a huge amount of RAM on XP so I ditched it at once, also I find its options very limited and it keeps calling home for no reason.
A question to you guys, if you had IE and FF open for like a whole day with like 10 tabs each, how much RAM would they both use , I think I once saw them using 1-2 GB RAM

I used IE, Firefox and Chrome..
After some test(did it by myself) I relize Firefox can use to secure browsing And Chrome Fast Browsing....
So i decide to keep Chrome And Firefox myself..
I heard Some friends of my tald that Opera is the best browser in the world but i didn't checked it yet by myself...
IE is stupid, but works...
Chrome is best for dummies, little options...
Opera is good but lacks extensions...
Firefox is fast enough for me and best because I can adjust it to myself, don't need to adjust myself to IT.
I've been using FF for a long time and have grown accustomed to it's addons. And it's such that even when I'm using other browsers which may be faster than FF, it feels lacking in terms of what FF can do.
I haven't looked back since switching to Firefox. Via addons, you can do odd stuff like blocking redirects based on regular expressions or adding and editing every aspect of cookies, which is difficult if not impossible to do on other browsers.
Decreasing UI speed over time gave me some grief at first, but I managed to trace the source of such problems (leaky addons) and it's working fine now. It is slower than Opera or Chrome, but not terribly so, and the Mozilla guys are working to get speed on par with those. Firefox 15 will be released on late August and is said to bring significant performance boosts.
To the average Joe I'd actually recommend Opera or Chrome though
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
just installed FF 14 and after scrolling through many pages, I realized now it just feels as if I'm using Opera. Scrolling the pages below is absolutely the same OMG!
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none
Been using chrome its fast - minimalistic GUI, makes browsing easier - small download, fast install - lots of add-ons ....
Google chrome but older version like 17 or 16, the new 20 is very heavy (too much) from to resources more ram cpu , and much slower load pages which in the past with same connection speed same pc and older version of google chrome load faster. No response from google last time i checked, some says that it is google sync. account function that slows down the browsers, but when disconnect it from acc, no much difference so stick to the old:)
Why is that?To the average Joe I'd actually recommend Opera or Chrome though
Been sticking with Opera since ver 9. Anyway, I use FF occasionally.

whose grey top shall tremble,
He descending, will Himself,
in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
ordain them laws".
