We have managed to recover a 1 year old backup

how many times did i hear something like this in the tracker scene?

tracker admins seem to be failures across the board

Although to be fair, when things don't go wrong, no one says "cool, the CN staff have managed to keep the tracker operating without any issues".

Also, as far as I know they had managed to get a hold of a newer backup (September 2010?).

because that should be normal.
but really, i've seen those 'we only have a backup from 1984' way too often and that's just poor. not all of them of course but far too many

even reading that makes me wonder, what are they doing? do they have any concept at all?

well, the site is back now under the new name of "theblackhand".

I don't think things have changed since the old CN. With luck they won't care about your ratio either, meaning you won't even have to cheat if you seed a little.
