    Berserk: Golden Age Part I

Gatts is a young mercenary, fighting across the lands with his brute strength. After one particular battle he becomes a member of the "Band of the Hawk", a mercenary group where he meets Griffith, the leader of the "Band of the Hawk" who is an ambitious man and the holder of Behelit, a mysterious egg shaped amulet that he wears on his neck. Following a tragic past and a lonely life, Gatts finds some solace in the company of "Band of the Hawk" where he particularly develops a complex relationship with Casca, the only female soldier of the group and second in command after Griffith. As the war against the Chudar Empire grows, "the Band of the Hawk" are constantly hired by the King of Midland to fight against the Chudar. As the battles carry on one after another, "Band of the hawk" continue to grow in power with Griffith determined to become stronger. One certain incident reveals the vague power of the behelit after Gatts and Griffith face a formidable enemy who is beyond human.

I first watched the anime, and the way it finished I was all "WTF"
So I also started to read the manga, but I simply don't like reading it, I don't like it when it's in black & white.

Didn't watch the anime. The animations felt outdated and I didn't want to spend a whole week watching the anime when I actually enjoy manga and I can finish the story in a day or two.

Have you read any mangas before or this was your first ?

Well that pretty much explains it.I hated my first manga but I wanted to see what happens next and in time my brain got accustomed with the black and white plain/no-animation characters.

I guess you get use to it in a while, but my biggest problem is, I many times don't get it what the artist is trying to say with certain pictures! That's why I love watching animes. You can understand and see everything!
