Snatching torrents

Could anyone help me with this question that what does 'snatching' mean? Does it mean the number of torrents I have downloaded or is it the number of torrents that I completed and did not seed?

Thanks for the clarification. Actually on one of the sites, I am getting 'Snatched Torrents' as 1 although I have downloaded more than 6-7. Maybe a problem with the site.

Only if the completed flag is sent will most places consider that a snatch. So if for example you downloaded a single movie from a super-pack, they won't consider it as such.
