Sure, there are hell of ones that make you burst out of laughing,
but this is for poke-dawgs like me, who will keep replaying Pokemon Red until this moment

I wanted to change mine too, but have yet to come up with something good.

now it's really outdated,and even during it's "golden age", the pokemon sprites sucks to say the least, but I play it because I've been playing this game since I was around 5 (more or less), and because sometimes I'm too lazy to play new games like Skyrim and other new ones.

and because of some of the music:

(used to scare the *** out of me when I was young)
(best leader music ever made by GameFreak/Nintendo)

Me too, I've played every version released,(even the Ranger series)
and I collect rare pokemon things(GC Japanese Celebi disc for the lulz).

(Had a GBC,GBA(mom trashed them lol),GBA SP(given to some one I know)
and for DS games I use an emulator
played Red on my cousin's GameBoy, then on the old a** smygb emulator, then bought a GBC for 50euros(back in the day, 50euros were REALLY high price for me) to To play Red/Blue/Gold/Silver and Crystal
My main games:
Yellow -> 130 hours
Crystal -> 160hours, used to trade with my friends in school and in lessons and fight in the break, we used to have tournaments
Pokemon Ruby 230+ hours, until the save game got deleted by itself, (cheap chinese cartridges and stupid nintendo for not protecting customers and having them getting tricked by greedy shopkeepers)
Sapphire -> mainly used to get pokemons for Ruby, the save game was frequently deleted and replayed
Pearl -> 90 hours or so, played it when no$gba was still under active development
XD -> 50 hours, bought a GC (and sold it later), that game is a 'meh' at best

also using Project64, we(me,bro and stupid kids who visit us) play Pokemon Staduim 2, it has some awesome mini-games
..etc

even in the game (Yellow, Pikachu doesn't evolve),
I think it's because Pikachu is the pokemon mascot, and Nintendo (or whatever) doesn't want to lose him?/it? ,they made an excuse that "Pikachu loves ash and doesn't want to evolve", if I remember the drama correctly, "when pokemon evolve they lose themselves and their evolution takes their place..etc" the usual japaense sci-fi.

All this Pokemon talk reminds me of:

I watched the cartoon/anime and that's about it.
I still don't know why pickachu didn't evolve.

Because he's iconic of the series.

I also watched the anime as a kid and remember in one episode Ash wanted to make Pikachu evolve using the thunder stone, but he was really reluctant to let it happen. In the end it did not, of course.
