Are you currently using a specialized desktop client like twhirl | the social software client ? Or any other? Please share you experiences.

I've been using BLU. It's nice and pretty, but it's just for twitter. The one you posted looks like it has alot more functionality. I'm going to check it out.

Use Rainmeter. You can get RSS, Twitter and FB feeds to your desktop. There are a lot more feeds you can get.

Still need suggestions? Try Yoono desktop or DestroyTwitter. The latter is lightweight and very much like TweetDeck.

I'm liking this DestroyTwitter. It uses Air like my old one and isn't too bloated with unnecessary options.
