    TuneSound - Another Fail?

The past couple of months haven’t been particularly good ones for scene mp3 torrent trackers. We saw the demise of one of the largest torrent sites catering to this niche, VIPMusic, much to the disappointment of its loyal fan base. This was soon followed by extended downtime at MP3Scene, a private MP3 tracker that showed a lot of promise as a potential replacement to SceneSound. If you are a fan of scene released music albums, here’s some good news for a change; TuneSound is a brand new torrent site that aims to fill the gap left behind by the likes of VIPMusic, SceneSound and MP3Scene. It another site that’s based on the SoftMP3 source code. While TS has got off to a great start so far, it remains to be seen if this tracker can break the curse which seem to affect the SoftMP3 clones that launched in recent times. If you are interested in joining, signups are currently open.

    Sites come and go, shoulder.
When someone on the 'net tells you it's looks promising, don't forget to realize that the guy who's telling you that it looks promising is in fact desperately wanting to impress you. Impress you to the point where you'll sign-up, leech like a good leecher should, use the site to download a-gazillion terra-byes of stuff, donate your coin, and so on....

It's a marketing strategy to say the least.

Of course the people over there want you to sign up. They want you to ask yourself: " Are these guys worth it?"
    Probably not.

Every site says that it's gonna make it. It's gonna be the big one to take over all the other prior scene music sites and so on and so on.

You know what...?? It's like this with some sites. It's basically a ploy to get you over there when they tell you ( or hear from other sources) it looks promising.

Honestly, how many times have you heard " ...it looks promising"
    Probably about a thousand times-and-a-half.

Everytime I hear something like this, I think of it also like this:
Once you use the site, you'll be bombarded on a weekly basis with all kinds of system PM's telling you that their donation bank is low and that the sysadmin's family was kidnapped by ninja-turtles ( hence the minimum $2 donation so the guy can learn kung-fu or something) otherwise, they'll attack you with a network of telepathic bacteria that live on the backside of your neck, or that the owners are living off, of dirt and bugs or that thanks to your continued donations, we can now upgraded our server to one that is hand-cranked.

Pretty soon before you know it, it's hit the dirt.

Anywhere can be a success if they know what they are doing and have enough support. With music sites like what and waffles who also have scene releases (but dont specialise in them) for the average joe these sites are just redundant. Only people who collect scene rips will care about these kinds of sites. They are most likely to survive if they can upload really old scene releases as most general 0day trackers have the newest music from the scene, some even as free leech.

Basically these guys better have AXX to a damn old server LOL.

That's because both use(d) the SoftMP3 source code.
