Release Date: February 4, 2011 (limited)
    Studio: IFC Films
    Director: Don Roos
    Screenwriter: Don Roos

    Genre: Drama

Emilia (Portman) is a Harvard law school graduate and a newlywed, having just married Jack (Scott Cohen, "The Understudy"), a high-powered New York lawyer, who was her boss – and married – when she began working at his law firm. Unfortunately, her life takes an unexpected turn when Jack and Emilia lose their newborn daughter. Emilia struggles through her grief to connect with her new stepson William (Charlie Tahan, "I Am Legend"), but is finding it hard to connect with this precocious child. Perhaps the most difficult obstacle of all for Emilia is trying to cope with the constant interferences of her husband's angry, jealous ex-wife, Carolyn (Lisa Kudrow).

lol, the excuses made at the beginning of the trailer are pathetic and wouldn't convince anyone, so they might as well stop pretending to be naive & spontaneous

'why is she dead...i want her back' - pointless & useless questions that won't explain anything, but rather prolong the misery/suffering in a masochistic way (just like the hollywood recipe: 'active role in your own grief'), the solution is simple: if one wants to question it, do it with a 'cool head', otherwise leave it alone and move on, the world won't end & neither will you

Emilia is trying to cope with the constant interferences of her husband's angry, jealous ex-wife, Carolyn (Lisa Kudrow).
the ex-wife is there just so the viewers can dislike her and sympathize with the 'poor' main female character, a cheap exploitative trick from the filmmakers

The movie is really interesting .. Do not know who realizes right from the start what it is actually in the movie.
It's not predictable like all movies. Worth seeing, even for the simple fact that Nicole Kidman plays in it.
    Enjoy
