what, the LA rents getting too costly, trying to save a few 'grand', no need for paperwork, everything e-business ready, with miss daisy driver's descendant as the driver?

Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals
aren't they supposed to be not-guilty until proven otherwise, so if he is such a good lawyer then they aren't criminals according to the sentences

until he lands the case of a lifetime: defending a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder
again the hint its all about the cash

the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
what, the system getting inefficient, accusing randomly without sufficient evidence? makes sense, since its a profit-based system, which means it does not matter to find out the actual facts and deliver just (as in justice) verdicts according to those, but rather filling the legal system with a constant flow of revenue, where verdicts are made based on what/how is being presented by the lawyers, regardless of the actual events, aided by the artificial scarcity of competent lawyers (pumping up their price, a simple economic rule which hints at the commercial aspect being a significant part of the legislative system)

also, a deadly game of survival? give me a break, how hard do you think it is to get rid of a sassy lawyer who always uses the same car with no bodyguards and a single elderly driver? guess they ran out of suicide bombers (or trigger-happy machine-gun junkies or silent assassins) in this one, eh?
