Hollywood star Mel Gibson will take Britney Spears on holiday this weekend, taking the troubled pop star, his wife Robyn, and Spears's father Jamie with him to his ranch in Costa Rica.
Gibson is said to have been concerned for Spears's welfare after her breakdown in February, and reached out to the Spears family. The pair first dined together publicly in March, but had met secretly with their families before that.
Gibson has fought addiction and recently revealed he suffered from manic depression. Gibson and Spears were once neighbours when they lived in Malibu.
