0.9.10:
* FIX: RF is now a single instance app, you can't launch more than one instance. This should lower the number of people asking for the error "socket in use" :)
* FIX: auto checking for updates might display the new version message even if there's none.
* CHANGE: Some language updates.
* CHANGE: your real upload will be appended when you use "report my upload as x.x times my download". The final result then will be downloaded x multiplier + uploaded. That way, even if your download has been completed, you can continue seeding.

0.9.8:
* FIX: RSS not working in uTorrent when Ratio Faker is enabled
* FIX: write permission error for debug.log (in Windows Vista/7)

* FIX: tracker offline message on 0.9.6

Remember!: Before changing from one mode to another, changing the modifier or ratios, ALWAYS stop (not pause!) all your torrents.

What is this?:

If you know what GreedyTorrent is, then the answer is really simple: it's a clon.
But wait, it's not based on GT ... this is a written-from-scratch software, I don't even know GT author.

I've started this project because I think that there's one important missing feature in GT, and that's the ability to pick up a random modification ratio. That's the biggest problem of GT, and because of that it's relative easy to detect when someone is using it (for tracker admins).

Ratio Faker offers the possibility to generate a random value in every announce, like in a real bittorrent transfer scenario. Obviously, you must select the extreme values moderately.

Please, report any bug or problem that you find by posting a comment here.

Should work with any client that support http proxy, but I've only tested with µTorrent 1.8.x.

How to use?

- Open Ratio Faker and check in what port is listening

- Open µTorrent or your favourite bittorrent client and set the proxy with the following data:

Host: 127.0.0.1
Port: 8282 (you should put here the listening port of step 1)
Proxy Type: http

For example, in µTorrent you have to go to Option, Preferences. Go to Connection, under Proxy Server section enter the above data and then click OK to save.

Could anyone else confirm that RF isn't working on TorrentLeech anymore? Every time I have it announce through RF, it shows all zeros and nothing modified. Anyone else experiencing this?

Why taking the risk in the first place? RF is outdated.

I have used RF for years never a problem until now. When I run it as I always it will not pick up any seeder so the torrent just sits there with no movement.
This is a fairly new problem I think. I have all the settings correct.
Anyone else has this issue with RF and how did you work it out.

Last time I used RF with utorrent 2.0.4 was weeks ago ,it's pretty normal here .

Do you behind a proxy ? Which client(version) are you using ?

Hi Peepin,

Yes I use 127.0.0.1 port 8282 with 2.04 utorrent
I use RM for most of my sites but rf works on site that rm will get you banned.
Something isn't right on sites I used the rf before with no problem like ptp lets say I had 10 seeders before if would pick up all 10 and have more or less the same speed if I was dl direct now ir only picks up 1 or 2 seeds at most and the speeds a very very low like 30kbs

RF just change the announce to fake upload stats , it shouldn't harm your download speed as it doesn't change the peer list .
I don't have ptp to test , I suggest you try userenity as a workaround .

True, although if the program's not working correctly and thus unintentionally changes the peer list, or fails to deliver it to the client, download speeds may be affected.

I haven't use RF for a while now. I have been using GT with Randomizer but, Cheetos said something about it isn't as safe any more.

Anyway. I get this error over and over:

You seem to be using Windows Vista/7,
either turn off error logging (check that Chuck Norris option)
or "Run As Administrator"

When does this appear?
uTorrent/Client version?
Settings? 127.0.0.1 on uTorrent or localhost.
checked the port?

As far as I know, that's a .NET error, so it's probably appearing on Ratio Faker.

It can have a variety of causes and solutions.

I don't think its a bug with .Net (MS are faultless guys

, except with Windows ME <- which i'm fine with by the way

),its a bug with RF itself.

Yep!,
This error happens when a program tries to use a disposed instance of for example a TCPListener object. or an uninitialized object.

theory: this happens when RF encounters an unhandled exception OR when RF deals with the exception the wrong way or deals with it incompletely, missing re-setters for example.

solution: restarting RF might/shouldfix it,re-extract RF, kill all the possible problems (by deactivating problematic options), using a "compatible" uTorrent version, because as you know, RF used to have problems with some uT versions..
