Talking Burn Any Web-Hosted File into a Torrent With Burnbit

Burnbit is a new service that allows users to generate a torrent for any file hosted online. It is especially useful for those who want to share large files with multiple people, at great speeds and without consuming too much bandwidth. Because the torrents are linked to a file hosted somewhere online, it will always be accessible and never die out.

Chances are it won't act as you expect, but go ahead and try it on a tracker you don't care about. From the description, it'd appear you'd have to be torrent's uploader, however...

by the looks of it, it probably won't be accepted at too many private sites.

The only major downside to the service at the moment is that all files are public. There is no option to add a private file,....

or even when just wanting to share amongst a very small group that excludes itself from private torrent sites even.

I'd say it's pretty good for public sites, though. Might even go and work with demonoid. who kwows???

    but there's hope too:

....the privacy setting request was duly noted
actually, a very interesting article and find too :)

It doesn't necessarily have to be better, it's just another method by another provider.
It's all a matter of opinion and personal preference. What works for you, may or may not be preferred by someone else.
    Vise versa too of/c.

sorry about the spelling seallion must be in hurry..
anyways since we are talking about these things i want to post 1 more site that offers downloading torrents without any torrent app.
    visit Torrent2ExE

you can upload a torrent file and it will make you a standalone torrent downloading app that will just download that file (will seed too if you want) and you dont need any torrent application. its good if your abroad or in hotel and dont want to download utorrent and stuff.. quite handly in that kind of situations

This service isn't a web torrent downloader. It converts a web-hosted file to a torrent.
