I live in Argentina.
slingshot, new zealand $80 unlimited 8mb/1mb adsl but have limited bandwith for p2p [supposed priority system p2p lowest priority]
I pay 30€ for a 24mbit/1mbit DSL connection with unlimited bandwitch, free newsgroup access, TV and phone. All hardware (modem/routeur box, TV tuner + recorder) included. Concretly, i can donwload at 1.9Mo sec and upload at 120Ko sec. I think this is quite decent compared to other countries even in europe, and i live in france. To piss you off, may i add I'm supposed to have optic fiber in april ? :-)

39.90 euros
100/30 Fiber internet
Phone unlimited national call for landlines .
No aggressive traffic shaping (i don't detect almost anything can download at 11MB/s if my physical support is up to it)
With tv would be almost same price but:
50/10 internet speed + 70channel by uhf, and the full package only can be seen using a HD receiver for functions like video-on-demand, game-on-demand (stream of games running in other pc test phase), interactive tv multi cameras, 3d channels etc.
Ofc premium channel means $$
But cardsharing and satellite tv works fine for me plus the 70uhf channels 0.00euros :)
I pay 65 euros for my 18\4 cable line.
Cable TV's 20 channels are free whether I have internet or not.
at next home i go back to my old internet - 64 mbps down and 5 mbps up for 40 € cable internet with tv and 53 extra programs
way too much for the crap I get. Around 80 bucks for 10 mb/s
That's not including the crappy customer service from either one of the ISP providers either.
That's a story unto itself.
Ooooh, let's not forget their company motto. I believe it goes something like this: " Thanks for buying our services and products! Now, f***k you.
It's thier best corporate principle to say the least.
For the kind of service I get, I might as well as go out and buy some kind of frying pan that inherently has all it's fried food taste like paper and glue, you know what I mean??
"God, from the mount Sinai
whose grey top shall tremble,
He descending, will Himself,
in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
ordain them laws".

Oh, oh. Better use LINUX.
Approximately U$ 52.00 for a 2mb/300kb ADSL that hasn't been working good lately. I've been a subscriber since the last 5 years and never had so much trouble as I'm having this year. It's a shame there's no other company operating in my neighborhood, so I have to stick with this for the while.
it's hip to be square
around 35€ for a 10/0,5 Mbps flatrate adsl line thats usually quite stable and so far without specific traffic shaping, but after the few initial months it got capped at around 6/0,3+ Mbps (gave up on calling their support since after they fix the issue it happens again in a few days or so and stays that way ad nauseam), thus i have a feeling the greedy bstardz are likely overselling their capacity
