I got a problem with a HDD once, Power was out while PC starts up. The problem was that windows saw it as an allocated space, I tried alot of progs and the one that helped was ''Partition found and mount'' on Hiren's boot CD -It's really awesome-

Only problem Hiren's boot CD is is highly illegal - judging by the market prices of illegal software on the CD.

Depends on location, there are several countries where it is not illegal to use this disk.
    Anyway, 2BH who cares...

I am sure you would regret your statement, if your 2tb-HDD would be defective.

Well if there was no 100% legal Ultimate Boot CD - Overview and like 10 others I could mention. I would agree :)
HDAT2 is on that CD(and many other similar) also
HDD Regenerator is free to check and as far i remember fix one bad sector each run

I had that problem once, too.
Thx for the recommendation of part found and mount on Hiren's disc!
I use it for a while, also for testing for RAM corruption, its a very useful tool.

I think when i had the problem i used Ontrack Easy Recovery, which worked quite well. However, it's quite some time ago and i don't know if the Hiren's tools can do it better.

I rescanned my harddisk using HDD Regenerator 1.71 and this is the results, what do you think about the number of bad sectors that appeared?

Bad sectors are never good, but better 30 of them than a useless disk.

Reappeared means some of them are unrecoverable - marked as unusable to avoid using them.
HDD Regenerator and similar software may repair most of magnetic errors by endles Read/Write at flawled area. But some might be physical and hey no software is perfect.

Now you may try HDAT2 as second line of defense and than as a third trial or some not trial version you can get of HDD Regenerator 2011

Around 500 Bad Sectors. It looks like you dropped the disk on the floor or kicked your not so beloved in that case desktop.

    EDIT
Even single bad sector on the loose can cause serious problems.

    EDIT2:
And you earlier claimed that MHDD helped you - HDD Regenerator logs proved it to be at best partially true.
