Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer

Release Date: November 5, 2010 (limited)
    Studio: Magnolia Pictures
    Director: Alex Gibney
    Screenwriter: Not Available
    Starring: Not Available
    Genre: Documentary
This documentary feature takes an in-depth look at the rapid rise and dramatic fall of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Nicknamed "The Sheriff of Wall Street," when he was NY's Attorney General, Eliot Spitzer prosecuted crimes by America's largest financial institutions and some of the most powerful executives in the country. After his election as Governor, with the largest margin in the state's history, many believed Spitzer was on his way to becoming the nation's first Jewish President. Then, shockingly, Spitzer's meteoric rise turned into a precipitous fall when the New York Times revealed that Spitzer - the paragon of rectitude - had been caught seeing prostitutes. As his powerful enemies gloated, his supporters questioned the timing of it all: as the Sheriff fell, so did the financial markets, in a cataclysm that threatened to unravel the global economy. With unique access to the escort world and well as friends, colleagues and enemies of the ex-Governor (many of whom have come forward for the first time) the film explores the hidden contours of this tale of hubris, sex, and power.

This documentary feature takes an in-depth look
a hollywood (as in mainstream) in-depth look? ridiculous
what you will get here is yet another quasi-documentary filled with half-truths, truth sandwiches and the like, pretending to reveal some mystery, yet in reality just taking a small and ultimately irrelevant bite at the subject, thus creating a false illusion of insight

firstly, its illusory to believe that this guy spitzer (a jew) had genuine interest at prosecuting crimes of usa largest financial institutions (mostly jewish owned) while being an attorney general (the one who works for the system, not against it) - what he was doing is targeting low-key (minor, irrelevant) players of the financial system, per instructions from above, meaning those who were selected to be sacrificed in order to appease the public, thus achieving more goals at the same time: gaining votes for their protege, good PR, getting rid of competition in the financial circles, and so on

also, remember that saying about how absolute power corrupts absolutely? meaning that among high level functionaries within all societal areas there is a high probability of corruption and deviant behavior/habits (drugs, addictions, prostitution, rape, pedophilia, homosexuality, counterfeiting, theft, fixing positions, protectionism, fraud, you name it) - all of which are being meticulously documented by the 'freelance' secret service agents in order to gain leverage for possible future blackmails, scandals and so on - which is exactly what happened to the spitzer character - when he was not useful anymore or if he stepped onto some forbidden toes or in the name of some other goal, such previously collected evidence was simply used to publicly expose him and predictively remove him from his position, using the ny times, yet another jewish owned media

so its nothing more than a fixed game between major players in the elitist arena, as they sacrifice (literally and/or symbolically) their pawns of choice, whereas the ignorant sheeple watch and wonder how can it be that their new idols turn out just as rotten as the old ones, yet the next time another idol arises they euphorically embrace him with a curious amnesia regarding their previous experiences, proving they didn't really learn anything from it (take fi. obama as the current example of such an idol)
