more military propaganda, eh?

seems the russian movie-makers need to justify their invasion in afghanistan, which of course had nothing to do with defending russian internal interests, they simply invaded a neighboring country while this county was in an unstable situation - during the fighting the usa supported afghanistan which finally led to the russians abandoning the military involvement and retreating back to where they belong (defeated by tenacious locals...with a little help from rambo 3 )

today we witness another invasion on afghanistan, this time by the usa led international 'peace keeping through war' forces under false pretenses and naturally supported by a stream of movies from the hollywood machinery, mitigating & distorting this aggression, instructing us not to question the causes, but to cry for their killed heavily armed soldiers and curse the local poorly equipped guerrilla forces for fighting for their own freedom, diluting the truth with some imaginary super-foes like the al-qaida, artificially attaching them to the local taliban elements to create a common enemy

nevertheless, similarly to the previous russian invasion, so is this one ultimately an imperialistic war to satisfy the blood, power & profit thirst of international elites, whereas the depicted soldiers are simply a mindless obedient tool in the hands of these insane puppeteers in their everlasting game with human lives all over the world - the question is when are people going to finally awake to the deception and start refusing to cooperate with the powers that be - imagine an army whose soldiers refuse to comply and won't invade foreign countries, now that would be something to write (or make movies) about, instead of these perfidious heart-breaking stories harnessed to drive/redeem/justify the bloodthirsty militant agenda in the eyes of the unsuspecting/ignorant/ill-informed viewer

as for the movie itself, looks rather generic, ie. probably not worth mentioning at all
