It should, but the problem is, that method worked at BCG because they actually opened every few seconds. Most full trackers will only open when inactive users are pruned, and that's often 30-45 days after their last login, so chances you get to signup with the Check4Change method are way smaller.

Can't login to trackerchecker.org anymore since a couple of weeks to update the trackerlist or to remove the automatic e-mails sent.
I'm just taken to the same login page everytime without any errormessage. Same for you guys?

I've just created an account, and can login normally. Login of Death perhaps? Clear your cookies, and also try pressing F5 after logging in - some browser caching settings can cause the same page to be shown over and over again.

TrackerChecker.org changed their layout, now you need to click 12 pages to see tracker that has open sign up.
OpenTrackers.net / TrackerChecker.org is for public / private tracker list.
BTRacs.com is better, if you're more interested in private tracker that rarely open their registration page.

A lot of those sites on TrackerChecker.org I haven't even heard of until just now af ter going to the link.

Some of them I have, though. Actually, I just saw the very first torrent site there that I was ever banned at.....Hey, ya....Yippeee!!!

And I do believe that I've seen / been to btracs before. :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention. This trackerchecker.org is not really upto date, you know.
For example: Doctorrents.ro doesn't even exist anylonger. They went to tracker-heaven last month, I believe.

And surprise, GFT is shown as green (registration is open) on OpenTrackers & TrackerChecker.
Since when level 4+ trackers have open signup ?

Well, I can't blame them, GFT admin make the signup page seems real, except for the lack of captcha.

If you click the link you get rickrolled after signup.

SealLion, I thought you had never been banned from a tracker?

I knew the GFT signup page was fake when I saw it myself, but I had to fill in everything and see what happened...

    sorry, anon.
I totally forgot about that one (Develoid.net).

I just remmebered that one when I saw it, for the first time in a long time too, and it came to mind that 'hey, ya...I got banned from that place once. LOL".

So I have to correct myself with respect to any earlier statements about gett'in ban-hammered into scrambled eggs.

And you know what else, anon....I got banned from that place when I used my first cheat'in tool ever......RM...yaaa!!

I think that I was just getting into the dark and mysterious world of cheating.
    Oh, well. .....

But with respect to GT & RF....not yet anyhow......still waithing to be shocked.

And about Develioid.net....I don't know what I did wrong there....like I said....it was quite a long time ago so you'll have to forgive my for my memory lapse on both fronts. I think that it was/is some general tracker.
Not much of interest there anyways as I recall.

Now about the site: Trackerchecker.org....this site is really out of synce with all the torrent sites that it says are supposed to be open when, obviously they're not.

I would tend to think that the owners of the site are useing some antiquated system to keep up, or at least try, with all the supposed up-to-date'ed-ness of all the sites.

Maybe thier using little elves to run back and forth....who knows.

It appears you're not the only one that has tried to cheat... or more exactly, leech off there:
2009-04-19 - To avoid leechers creating new accounts once they are banned we decided to remove the download rights to all new members. New members Have to post 1 or more torrents until they have at least uploaded 1GB to be able to download something.
About TrackerChecker, they're not the only site that's a bit rusty. OpenTrackers.fr is always watchful just in case UK-T and ScT open their signups, too.

WEll, that shouldn't be too hard then.
Spoof some upload from a real torrent that you up'd and 'pooof!!!" ----5Gb, in no time.

that should be a quick fix for those who would ever be interested interested.

Mind you, I think that, that policy isn't actually that bad, though.

Think about it, it basically gives the site more content, regardless if the new member is a leecher or not, you know what I mean??

I don't think its actually that bad, though for those non-cheaters, that's actually quite a bit and that would take quite some time if the person doesn't upload a very large file to begin with.

    Maybe it's 50/50....good and bad.

Not that easy, you still have to upload your own torrents.

Think about it, it basically gives the site more content, regardless if the new member is a leecher or not, you know what I mean??
If we take the problem of cheating apart (I upload a torrent, you jump on it, I fake 1MB/s upload and you 1MB/s download), yes, it's a nice way to add to the tracker's content. However, not anyone can create a torrent, take care of it, etc., while "normal" uploading will take place as long as you get a piece and leave your client open in a best-case scenario.

Do any of you guys use OpenTrackers - The place to look for open private trackers!

They have a nice little green ball/red ball graphic interface...

Most of the well known sites are indexed...

    Does the job i think...
