    Talking ROFL

One or two weeks ago, we had to hand in a Literature essay at school. It was nothing out of the ordinary, just a bunch of questions about a book (this one, if you're interested), as well as writing a personal opinion, etc.

When about half an hour remained before the teacher arrived, I was chilling in the PC room, and asked one of my friends something about the essay, only to find out he hadn't even started it. He promptly assembled a group with two other buddies and began "working".

Unfortunately, they had yet to finish the first point and had stolen the second one from my work (which I had copied to a shared network folder to print it earlier that day) by the time we were meant to deliver the thing. I was on the classroom already, but when they came in, I deducted they had gone to the staff office on the first floor to print the only two things they had typed. When the teacher realized that, she gave all of them an instant 1/10 mark and told them to take a sheet out and write what each one's contributions to teamwork had been.

Today I got a hold of one of those sheets, and it really cracked me up. Here you are:
My contribution was almost null. Along my few tasks was connecting the printer and placing some sheets on it, something vain considering there was no ink to allow us the printing job. Another notorious task was that of facilitating access to another group's answers. This helped us solve a question that looked unsolvable.
The red-colored part was circled by the teacher and commented on:
    That's academic dishonesty

Ok, so basically, your work didn't go for nothing and you got your right back!

You might be surprised, but before I leave the computer lab I do the following: (or one of them)
    1) I delete all my work if it was Powerpoint or QBasic or MultiMedia Builder ..etc
    2) I place some watermarks in it if it was Photoshop files, also for extra security, I save my work as lossy JPG with red text in the middle that reads: "By <InsertMyRealNameHere>".
    3) I hide my folder in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe

Simply because I was backstabbed a lot by helping my classmates...

I don't really mind them stealing my work, they didn't even get away with it.

Step 3 isn't necessary, computers run DeepFreeze here.

Nah, that kind of null contribution is often happen here in my developing country even if their work is copy-paste .

I myself isn't care about my work being stolen in school and college because it's not valuable imo. But i care if my ideas being stolen (Inception )

LOL! I remember we had a similar problem back in high school. The good thing was that we found out when the teacher gave a 1/10 to the other team!
But to be fair, I had planted a keylogger in all of the computers in the lab and was stealing email accounts ; but that is a different story!!
