Thedeathless, We don't say that torrent is more secure than emule but with torrent especially if you're using private tracker you could avoid open attack by RIAA (although it can be exploited by shitty staff or spy like what has happen with oink and TL) same with KAD network and DHT.

Torrent was gaining popularity because of easiness and user friendly to use than emule and IRC. RS and Usenet is user friendly too but you have to paid for that service to maximize it.

I'm talking only about public trackers. Tracker and Server have an high number of IP list.
Spy in DHT or KAD if possible but is much difficult RIAA and other found you.

A well-secured tracker isn't easy to hack. The same applies to eMule servers. The difference between eMule and torrents is that eD2K and Kad are a single, huge network of users sharing stuff, while in BitTorrent there's one swarm per info_hash/torrent.
