    Emesene - WLM replacement

    Hello!

I have been using this MSN client for a while, and it works great. It has many features, it is lightweight, highly customizable, multi platform and has not crashed once in many months. Oh and it is made in my country, Argentina
    Highly recommended!

    emesene

This is the best alternative when it comes to moving to linux.Only one problem.
emesene isn't recognizing any yahoo accounts.
That's why I'm still using pidgin.
Some useful reviews and links can be found on omgubuntu.

after testing it, it's quite nice but if you're using Windows you're better of using WLM.
this doesn't have almost any advantages over WLM as far as I can feel..
for other OS that's pretty neat..

    (Very)Reduced memory and CPU usage
When you have 3x256 RAM and a 2.8Ghz P4 from 2005 running a browser, emule, slsk, a firewall, an av, a media player AND msn; you are happy to have an msn client that won't kill your computer
Anyway it is just another option

I had 10 MB difference in memory use. didn't check CPU usage though..
on the PC you run maybe there's a (big) difference. it's a very nice option!
