Imho, Firefox has more addons than IE, Safari or Chrome will ever have.
The downside is that you better have a good cpu for a good browsing experience, especially if you're a +10-Tabs-User.

Hmm. Tried reinstalling, but no go. Oh well. I manually change my monitor settings anyway, so no big deal I guess.

As well as RAM, and that seems to apply for all browsers nowadays... when you open as many tabs as I usually do, memory usage climbs to not less than 100-200MB. Chrome is most affected by this, opening a process for each tab.

True, I remember a time when I didn't even know what a tab is and I had to open a new window for multi-tasking-browsing.

Nowadays it's a important function which was originally invented by mozilla and copied by others.
I saw that there are a lots of features, which were first implemented in the Firefox as a feature or additional addon.

But all the good stuff about FF has also a negative point of view:
The more people are using FF, the more hackers try to find exploits for such a browser.
As there is a unwritten law, that the demand controls the mass of released exploits.
In some countries FF is now the most-used browser, (instead of the IE).

    Greetz.

I think tabs were first implemented by NetCaptor (an IE shell) back in 1997...

Edit: Wikipedia says that was InternetWorks, one I've never heard of.

I see this mass hacking of FF as a good thing not a negative, the more flaws they find the more fixes for FF the better FF will evolve.

Look at MS Windows masses of people use it, masses of hacker try to exploit it, Windows just gets better and better with each edition.

pardon me, with the exception of Vista, on a user friendly point of view it was shit
dont ban me just spank me

I've changed to Chrome recently because of a bug affecting IE and Firefox.

All google search results are redirected to an ad. website (due to a bug in the computer), i couldn't solve problem by whatever method i use. Chrome isn't affected by this bug and besides, it seems to be much faster than IE.

You should do a malware scan.

By the way, avoid misusing bold text in posts, they're already readable.

I finally got to try this out and it's the same as with you... Mosaic crashes the second pages begin loading, even under compatibility mode and will almost everything disabled.
