i don't care much about v2, or pre times, but scc often has what i want, and it's easy to build a (mostly legitimate) buffer on new freeleech with my decent home connection. highly recommended.

yes, u r right it's not that hard to build a ratio if u take any newly uploaded pack and seed them u can have a good amount of upload easily..

yep; of course, the packs are still large, and many people don't have enough disk space to seed them for a while. and with all of the 100+mbps connections, it's always a cutthroat seeding environment, especially if you have a .5mbps upload speed like many people.

you don't have to download the whole thing to seed.
let's say it's a movie pack so get 2 or 3 files from each movie and seed that. should give you plenty of upload even with a slow line

Problem is, you get more exposure when you have 100% of the pack, due to the way the tracker handles peer-giving (won't give leechers to leechers, nor seeders to seeders, and you appear as a leecher when partially seeding), and this can be critical when you need to upload. Of course, you can still seed, but others have an edge.

i've been very successful doing that on scc without cheating

I know, I was also able to seed normally at IPT back in the day even though I didn't download samples nor subs and thus was shown as a leecher. I was just commenting this method of delivering peers trackers have and how "die hard" torrenters (non-cheaters, heh) may find it useful to know about.
