Sorry man, I don't want to sound like a jerk, but that's like making a shell script to write down numbers from 1-100 into text file then opening it to choose a number from 1-100.
Finally i know the reason why i'm not able to get into TL's IRC
But after reading your "DISCLAIMER" I think i will first try it out on ubuntu or something
Btw if i spoof my MAC address in ubuntu will the changes affect windows also? Or will windows still have the old MAC address?
Don't worry, chances your computer will explode when changing the MAC are minimal.
Spoofing the MAC address via software methods like the one in this tutorial will only affect the OS you've done it on.Btw if i spoof my MAC address in ubuntu will the changes affect windows also? Or will windows still have the old MAC address?

Here's the temp method that works on ubuntuApparantly, methods do exist to spoof one's MAC Address in Unix/ Linux systems.
ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth0 hw ether 01:02:03:04:05:06
ifconfig eth0 up
source:Change MAC address in Ubuntu temporarily
Hello, I am a newcomer for this good and informative forum. It's very nice that I found it - really!
To the point: why to spoof mac address. I have understood they aren't routed to web - correct?

If I am using a vpn connection, my ip is changed and they can't get the mac address; the guys who are running the tracker, I mean.
Same thing happens to (mac) if you use a router without a vpn, right?

You should know we aren't 100% sure of whether they can get your MAC. They probably can't.
But in the router case, they'd get the router's address, yes.
