Same for me! Now i got 4 TB HDD-Space, around 500GB unused. imo archiving on HDD is cheaper than burning on DVDs.

Do NOT cheat. This involves; ghost leeching, spoofing and/or use of a modified client in anyway. If you, or anyone on your IP/server is found to be cheating then ALL users on that IP will be disabled.

    It sure is more space-friendly
As for price, it really drops if you archive to large drives, but in that case there's a question of reliability, loosing DVD is trivial but loosing TB of data can be scary. With these prices though, guess we'll soon be able to archive to pairs of raided disks

I still have the same HDDs as before and with my growing amount of downloads, burning to DVDs is a must.

I only burn to DVDs stuff I don't open regularly like when I finished watching the Sopranos - I didn't delete it but burned so I will always have it, instead of letting it rot in my HDD.
also same for a few other TV Shows and Movies you finished watching and think they were that good to keep.
other than that what else do you need to archive in DVDs?

Indeed, we have whole internet to back up, it can't fit the drives, no matter how big

But seriously, I burn all my movies, I just can't keep them on HD forever and there's no way I could watch them all in this millennium.

isn't it useless to burn something that you will never open again?
one of my 3 HDDs is a dedicated Music HDD.
I don't have a piece of mp3/flac in that drive that I didn't listen to in the past year (I sure hope so anyway )

    2 x 1 TB
    7 x 500 GB
Random small ones from times past
    --------------
Around 6 TB or so ... and still buying more.

I think the legacy I will leave my children is thousands of unwatched BD Rips. Who wants money?

Thats so true. Especially if you're organizing it in a comfortable way, as I do.
I use the Ember Media Manager which is wrotten for teh XBMC Media Center.
There you've the oportunity to sort your covers, fanarts and also trailer downloading is possible.
I can really recommend it for movies. For Tvshows you should use the combination of TVrenamer & Media Info Plus.

BTW: I've 2,5 TB of Storage, but i would love to expand my HDD collection.
Still waiting for breaking the 120 € for 2TB.
