SCC to use parts of ScT source

For me 2TB of upload would only be useful with ~680GB of download. Low ratios and not standing out for the win.

any ex-sct, can you elaborate on their cheating system? was it really that advanced compared to others? the only system that i remember that actually worked was OiNK's, but I most likely was using an out dated RM client...but since Shu and the SBI's RM, it seems like they have been...i want to say bullet-proof...

It seems ScT had mostly ready scripts to detect faulty announces and maybe hex modified clients (fake x-up, etc). I've never been at OiNK when it was up, but they probably were the first to detect bad announces from the old RM version that existed back then.

Also don't forget Oink was a music tracker, which means the torrents most likely weren't that big.
Because of that you could easily overfake compared to site where you could use for example a movie for faking.

ScT detected a lot but really didn't care about speeds. so as long as the announce was right you could use almost any speed.
just like SCC but with better tools detection.

Well, let's see what they could detect:

• info_hash issue
• ort issue
• almost all uTorrent mods
• no reporting
• the PMR (and all malformed announces, bad numwant, etc.)
• more things I'm probably forgetting

And they even used random intervals, to deter some old tools that didn't obey them. As you can see, they were level 9 in the Ranklist for a good reason. Now, you'll see abnormal speeds aren't on the list - because VwTE1r is right, as long as the announce was sent correctly you could use almost any speed.

and one could add that mods/tools with the flaws anon described shouldn't be used anyway so with the right mod/tool ScT was a joy to cheat on :tongü:
