Thread: Quick question about RM and PMR

Quick question about RM and PMR

Can I run RM and uTorrent at the same time if I use the memory reader?

Also can I use the memory reader on RM to get the peer id and user agent for PMR? if so do I copy the entire peer id?

Yes you can. Just make sure you don't load a .torrent in RM that is already running on uTorrent client and you should be fine.

To get peer_id yes, and the user agent is a fixed value for each uTorrent version. Tell us your version for help. It should look like "uTorrent/1xxx.

You forgot something The User-Agent looks like uTorrent/1xxx(yyyyy), where yyyyy is the build number.

You are right. I guess I was thinking about the 1.8.2 which sends uTorrent/1820 as user agent.

Yes, the User-Agent was sent without the build number up to a certain version. This was changed to make life easier for tracker admins, even though you could tell the build by looking at the two bytes following the -UTxxxx- prefix.
