Reporters Without Borders: Argentina: journalist exposed corruption: harrassed

I had to shorten the title to this as the title just didn't fit in to the subject box. So the real title is:

journalist who exposed corruption harassed and threatened with death
    Check it out.
    Isn't this old news??

It's like it always happens where-ever you go. People don't like being found out for the political corruption or the 'boys in blue' club impropriety that occurs just about everywhere.
So how do you handle these sort of discovery's by investigative journalists??
    Easy.
    YOu threatent them with death.
That also includes threatening the family members too, you know.
It makes good business sense of course.

Reporters Without Borders today voiced deep concern about repeated death threats made since May 2008 against Juan Parada.... (of).his exposure of corruption involving local officials at the courts and the municipal authority as well as police excesses
    Police excesses, eh??

That must mean only one thing. You be the judge what that might entail.

    Corruption at the courts...??

Oh, I think I know what that's all about. It's called judicial unfairness coupled with judicial impropriety.
I can just now hear the 'cha-ching' of money coming into someone's pocket.

    Here's the link:

    enjoy the short read.

yeah, there are many ways to intimidate or keep 'nosy' individuals from attempts to discover the reality/truth, which is one of the reasons why the alternative views get marginal attention or get the label of being anti-government, crazy, conspiratorial, racist, subversive and whatnot

    Corruption at the courts...??
you might wanna check out that astrotheology link to find out an interesting view on the term 'court(s)'

wake up people...they are trying to tell you something

And that's why we have the internet, slik.

The internet is one of the greatest inventions of the technological age, wouldn't you agree??

The flow of information is massive.
The more information, the more educated people become.

Here's an example, albeit of biasedness.

I like Al Jazeera English for the very fact that it's not news from the West. It covers news from the Palestinian territories that I wouldn't catch on the 6 o'clock news.
It has news affiliates with BBC news and other Euro news agencies.
It keeps it's own head above waters.

Some people in the US government, for instance, don't like,..or didn't like AJE. So they hacked it's front page on the website at one point.
This was done b/c it brought out news that others didn't want them to hear. It brought out more truthful news that somebody didn't like or have anyone else listen to.

Who or what takes the credit for AJE??
    The internet.
Take a look at YT. Same thing.

I don't care what anyone says about Al Jazeera English.
It's alternative news of news that you just don't hear of elsewhere.
At least some of the time it's like that.

And it's news from a different perspective.
Why should I be subject to news only from the Western perspective??

What??.....is the WEst the only region on the planet??....uh....no.
    I don't think so.

The massive flow of information brings problems. How to filter shit out?
We know all and yet we know nothing.
Belive to who? Why? which news? Who is absolutely unbiasad? What is truth?
It is chaos of information from my PoV where everyone can loose themselves easily.
Everyone who gets at least some popularity online tries to make profit out of it. And he doesn't choose between methods. Moral or not it doesn't matter. Write some shit on the net that people want to hear/read/watch about and make money. Doesn't matter if you don't know anything about you write. Fake gods. Just make people belive you know what you are writing about and you are half way to fortune. There can't be any great progress in humanity as long as their main motivator is money. Internet is great in a way, but you must know first where you stand, what you want, and how to get what you want. And that's not easy for a newcomer to this web of all webs.

yeah, its loaded with information & misinformation, but personally i'd rather have both than just one (official) side, the only thing we can do is trust nobody, learn as much as possible about the subject (from conflicting sources), keep an open mind and use ones 'internal compass' to weigh the arguments at hand (one of the significant questions to ask is: cui bono ie. who benefits?)...i know, it can be a difficult task, but eventually things start to fit the puzzle

well, web site maintenance has its expenses, it has to be dealt with somehow
There can't be any great progress in humanity as long as their main motivator is money.
there are some projects that have ideas about how the money is essentially the cause of many problems and that a non-monetary society would be a better way for the future...you might wanna check out the 2 Zeitgeist movies for an example

sure it takes time & effort, but things eventually become clearer (whatever you may be looking for), patience & persistence is of essence here

I saw zeitgeist movie when was popular, some year ago. And later I read about inccorect facts in it. And that pissed off me. If you make a movie to show ppl some "truths" then can't be wrong facts in it! Its *ucking contradiction. It's just load of hype and shit so I try to avoid this "easily presented" truths. I rather investigate things on my own, and spend time reading in depth about things of interests.

    patience and persistance....hmmm.
that sounds like a good trait to own.

it's definitly a good thing to read about news from different sources. I'ts also good to investigate yourself about things that you read about.

I wouldn't put things like the zietgiest films aside though.
I never saw the films, but I would;'nt be surprised that there may be some things in that film that did talk and expose that things that were truthful.

the truth comes from different sources.

it's more comfortable to watch the video without interruptions, or in this case one would have to click 12 times to proceed to the next part of the video (also what if some clip is missing/deleted,...) so its just about user friendliness of the contents
