why would i stop it? i open RF, set 1,5-1,9 load the torrent in ut, come back a few hours later when it has finished DL and delete it, when does the stopping part comes into play?
It's OK, then. I thought you were going to add the torrent while RF had already been running with different settings.

oh, ok, so we are ok now xD
I don't want a big fat ratio, just want to be able to DL the things I want and stop them whenever I want.
Sticking to this tool then, thanks for all the clarifiactions!
Hello there, i have a question, is there any thread where i can find a list of trackers where it's safe to use RF?
SealLion: can you post a list of the ones you have used without problems?
Thanks!
While not a list per se, you can find such info in the "tracker cheating table" thread.Hello there, i have a question, is there any thread where i can find a list of trackers where it's safe to use RF?

I haven't got time at the moment to re-read though the guide so apologies if it has already been mentioned
My speeds are:
up: 30kB/s
down: 800kB/s
As you can see, cheating is essential. :/
Anyway,
Find out what your average upload speed if in your area/country because I was banned for uploading at a speed higher than my country actually provides.
I had RF set to 0.7** - 1.0** times my download. But because I was downloading the torrent at 800kB/s (there for fake uploading roughly the same speed) I was spotted.
So, be sure to set your real download to whatever your country/isp average upload speed is.
edit:
Seems really obvious to me now. Ah well, you live and let learn.

thanks for sharing what happened to you but a bit more info would help.
afaik there're not many trackers who are actually checking member's bandwidth so where did you get banned?
also what torrent app did you use? did you try that method on other trackers? what kind of torrent got you banned? how many seeders/leechers? ...
you see there're much more useful things to know so it might help others ...

RevTT.
Utorrent.
I had only joined last week and was banned 2 days after.
I had only downloaded 1 file too. The torrent was a new upload which has about 30/40 seeders/leechers.
I have become too comfortable with FR as I have been using it problem free for 2 years now on several big trackers with the same method. In a way it was a good wakeup call.
what ut version?
RF is known to have issüs with ut version newer than 1.8.2

Will do, thanks.
Also I forgot to mention; I didn't found out why I was banned until I went and asked in the RevTT help IRC channel... ..
The admin asked to confirm my ISP was and then said, roughly"800kB/s - This is England not Sweden FFS"
no prob and there's a button for that
hehe, yes, RevTT is known to do that every so often. but that also means that RF was fine. Also I forgot to mention; I didn't found out why I was banned until I went and asked in the RevTT help IRC channel... ..
