Microsoft Multitouch Mouse 2.0: Is this the gaming mouse of the future?

Apparently Microsoft's developers and scientists are currently exploring seminal input technologies in many variations. Microsoft's Surface or Project Natal, research is done in many directions to bring the PC input to the next generation.

Microsoft now presented five different prototypes of input devices with Multitouch technology. All of the concepts are working with different kinds of touch sensitivity and thus have a different shape. Microsoft expects that Multitouch will become a key factor for the PC since it is already used in mobile phones. The new input devices are Called Multi Touch (MT) Mice. The target is that a user can manipulate the graphical user interface with the touch of a finger. Certain gestures will trigger appropriate commands.
