    Nvidia working on CUDA-based anti-virus.

Yep.. you saw it right. Nvidia is working on creating an antivirus with the help of CUDA-Compute Unified Device Architecture.

Nvidia's general manager of CUDA has announced the company's intention to produce a GPU-accelerated anti-virus.
Because the act of comparing a known string - some executable code - to a massive database of other known strings - virus code - is highly parallel, the potential performance benefit from a CUDA-based scanner is huge. As well as actually making the scan itself faster, the move would free up the system CPU for other tasks - potentially making the entire system feel more responsive.
Get ready for this tagline- Nvidia , The way it's meant to be scanned

afaik the real bottleneck in scanning would still be user hard drive since it is way slower than cpu or gpu

No thanks..I don't think this is very good for gamers.

does this means that AV will utilize GPU, instead of CPU and memory on graphics card instead of memory on motherboard? like Win-Aero does in win7/vista ?

If so then I think its will not be appreciated, in the same way like nobody appreciated Norton AntiVirus 2009 Gaming Edition, and it remained target of criticism from gammers. mostly those who play multilayer LAN games..

this is gud idea...to make windows little bit...away from virus & all the things..but as i think its going to be..little bit heavy for makers to make this types of graphics cards

uhmmm ... this is just amazing to see this complicated implementation being applied live within new coming generations of Video cards, unfortunately this would move the scale of selling more units to a higher pricing parameter on which the global utilization of new technology would become shrinked to the minimum.
